Marietta Podiatry Group has provided podiatric care to their community for over 30 years. Their goal is to provide patients with the highest quality of care in a clean, safe, and caring environment. Having built their reputation on the realization of that goal, they collaborate with Primary Care Physicians and other specialists to ensure that patients receive optimal health care.
Near the WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, Marietta Podiatry Group purchased an existing building that served an OB/GYN practice and undertook a clinical renovation project that included the addition of a free-standing, two-OR, ambulatory surgery center.
The ASC is a 2 OR free-standing entity, including support areas, clean and soiled work rooms, sterile processing facilities, clean and soiled linen, a medication safety zone and pre- and post-procedure patient care areas.
The ASC was programmed and construction specifically for the podiatry specialties. Building systems and patient support services use non-complex and portable equipment where possible. In lieu of a integrated building systems, emergency battery back-up and patient gas systems are portable.
Once restricted to basic preventative medicine, ASC’s now perform 70-90% of procedures in outpatient settings, many through advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. Successful ambulatory care facilities are designed to maximize patient flow.
